Tube Inspection

Tube Inspection

Heat exchangers, boilers, and condenser tubes are critical for safe and efficient plant operations. Over time, tubes are prone to corrosion, erosion, pitting, and cracking, which can lead to leaks and costly downtime. At Assessfie NDT, we provide advanced tube inspection techniques that ensure the integrity and reliability of tubular components across industries.

Our Tube Inspection Methods

Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL)

Detects corrosion and pitting by measuring magnetic flux leakage in ferrous tubes. Effective for rapid detection of wall thinning and localized damage.

Remote Field Testing (RFT)

Identifies wall thinning, corrosion, and cracking in ferromagnetic tubes. Highly effective for detecting defects both internally and externally.

Near Field Testing (NFT)

Specialized technique for fin-fan cooler tubes. Detects internal corrosion and pitting with minimal interference from tube support structures.

Internal Rotary Inspection System (IRIS)

Ultrasonic-based method that provides highly accurate, quantitative data on wall thickness and defect sizing, delivering detailed mapping of tube condition.
